Why wood sunglasses?

Every once in a while I  get asked at a festival, "why wood sunglasses? what makes them different from your typical sunglasses that i wear?" For one, they are made out of wood where majority of sunglasses are made from injected molded plastic and acetate which is a like plastic but derived from renewable resources. Also wooden sunglasses are of course renewable.Very renewable. If you throw them in the fire you will have just ash, melted lens and two hinges. Lastly, wood glasses tend to be lighter but definitely not as flexible. You do not want to twist, flex or snap either material as your sunglasses will most likely break. 

Style is a big factor of wood glasses. Besides being a natural resource they are very stylish. They are different and wear differently than other sunglasses. What is very cool is that each style, even though they are the same style and wood, will always look different due to the grain of the wood. No two are exactly alike. They are unique.

Choose the wood, the color, the style and wear a pair of  sunglasses. Take them for a spin and you will get looks and questions about them.
